Great Maple Tree
The most massive and probably the oldest living maple in the Czech Republic with a completely hollow trunk, which can accommodate several adults, stands at the edge of the forest about 300 m from the village of Věstoňovice, 11 km north of Třebíč.
A memorable tree with a huge hollow trunk passes into strong branches that are cut off giving the ground for young branches, which means that the tree really lives and is green every spring. You can enter the tree cavity with a circumference of almost 7 metres. The age of the tree is estimated at 650 to 700 years.
